Comprised of members of the community as well as the Fire Department, the Corona Fire Safety Foundation serves to help mesh the public safety function of the Fire Department with the interests and needs of the community of Corona.
Who We Are
Established in 1998, the Corona Fire Safety Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit organization. The core work of the Foundation is to facilitate and sustain a partnership between the Corona Fire Department and the community it serves, to promote public safety and achieve our shared vision for a safe and prepared community.
Our Board members each contribute personal knowledge and expertise, act as advocates for the organization in the community, and bring knowledge of community issues to bear on the Foundation’s efforts in carrying out its mission.
The operational goals of the Foundation are encompassed in three key focus areas:
- Promote public safety and awareness to help protect our citizens
- Support those affected by fire
- Support the Corona Fire Department added-value programs
The Foundation has provided funding and support for many of the Fire Department's initiatives, including the Vial of Life program, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), sponsorships to Burn Camp, and Fire Service educational scholarships for local students pursuing a career in firefighting.
In addition to our core focus areas, over the years, the Foundation has been able to provide funding for equipment both for the Fire Department and the community, such as confined space rescue equipment, rescue belts, smoke detectors, and automated external defibrillators (AED).
Comprised of members of the community as well as the Fire Department, the Corona Fire Safety Foundation serves to help mesh the public safety function of the Fire Department with the interests and needs of the community of Corona.
We are motivated and driven by a shared set of values, and a common desire to serve and support both our community and our Fire Department.
